Brief summaries of past presentations

1. The Climate Reality presentation
The Climate Reality presentation is a multimedia presentation put together by global climate leader Al Gore, as well as world class scientists, strategists, communicators and technical specialists about the basic science of climate change and how the direct cost impacts are having on communities around the world. And most importantly, what solutions are available today and the most effective communication skills needed in raising awareness. The presentation is very versatile for all audience types and ages and delivered in 45mins. Please find out more about it on the Climate Reality Project website.

2. The Climate Justice Change Maker Curriculum

Here at 350VT, we believe that youth voices, creativity, perspective, and wisdom must guide the movement for climate justice, and building youth leadership is our priority. Therefore, we have designed a 90-minute workshop to begin raising critical consciousness about climate change among young Vermonters. The workshop is interactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented. It examines how change happens, and how we want to and can be change-makers ourselves. We can adapt the workshop to fit your classroom time as well as your ongoing lesson plans. Our curriculum draws from “A People’s Curriculum for the Earth: Teaching Climate Change and the Environmental Crisis”
