Make a Bequest: 

You can create a lasting legacy and provide for 350Vermont into the future by including us as a beneficiary in your will or estate plans. A bequest is easy to arrange and is not payable until the donor passes away, so it does not affect assets or cash flow during the donor’s lifetime. It is also private and revocable, since the donor can change provisions in the will or trust at any time, and it is not made public until death.

If you’ve already drawn up a will, you’ll just need to file a codicil, or amendment, to it. Here are examples of language to include in your will:

Specific Bequest: “I give and bequeath to 350Vermont, 179 S. Winooski Ave Suite 201, Burlington VT 05401, the sum of $___.”

Bequest of a Percentage:  “I give and bequeath ____ percent of the total value of my estate to 350Vermont, 179 S. Winooski Ave Suite 201, Burlington VT 05401…”

Bequest of Residue: “The rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, wherever situated, I give and bequeath to 350Vermont, 179 S. Winooski Ave Suite 201, Burlington VT 05401…”

Contingent Bequest: “Should [name of person] predecease me, the portion of my estate going to [person] I give and bequeath to 350Vermont, 179 S. Winooski Ave Suite 201, Burlington VT 05401…”
