“Working as a 350Vermont summer fellow was one of my best organizing experiences. It helped me build the confidence, skills, and experience needed to pursue a career dedicated to environmental justice. 350VT also supported me in building the information and community needed to begin organizing around transportation in Vermont. When I sent a proposal for low carbon accessible transportation I was unsure if others would also care about changing the car-based transportation system that I, as a young blind young person, struggle with in Vermont. 350Vt showed me others cared. From the incredible staff who taught me how to build community to all the people in and out of the 350VT network I connected with, this fellowship has filled me with hope, joy, and the passion to keep working on transportation.”
